About PIKARI

Pikari (ぴかり) is Japanese for a quick little flash of light, the kind you see for a second and still think about later. It felt right for a camera with a ring of light around its lens.

Your phone does a lot of things. A small camera you bring on purpose does one, and it changes the night a little: someone asks what it is, someone wants a picture with it, and suddenly everyone is in the frame. PIKARI is small enough to come along without a second thought.

The pictures people keep are rarely the perfect ones. They're the slightly blurry group shot at the end of dinner, the selfie on the train platform, the date in the corner. Everything about PIKARI is aimed at those: a ring light for faces after dark, a screen that flips up so you're in the picture too, and a date stamp you can switch on.
